Northwest Montana Veterans Stand Down & Food Pantry, a nonprofit in Kalispell, runs the Veterans Clothing & More Store. The store takes new and quality used items from the public and resells them. The money it makes pays for the organization's Veterans Service Center programs, which veterans and their families rely on.
The store also gives qualifying homeless veterans seasonal clothing twice a year, one outfit to wear and one to wash, along with access to showers and laundry. Newly housed veterans get move-in help with household essentials and furniture. Table lamps, upholstered recliners and sofas, wooden curio cabinets and framed art fill the sales floor. The organization also lends out durable medical equipment, and the store is open on weekdays and closed on weekends.
