In Las Vegas, the Goodwill Rainbow Store has a retail floor and a donation center in the same building. It's run by Goodwill of Southern Nevada, a nonprofit whose work aims to reduce the impact of poverty by helping Southern Nevadans find local jobs and move up in their careers. The store is open seven days a week and stays open into the evening.
Donated goods are accepted during the same hours that the store is open for shopping, every day of the week. Everything the operation does is driven by its job-focused nonprofit mission, which covers donors, customers and clients. A bright blue Goodwill sign with an orange stripe and the words Shop, Donate, Thrive runs across the store's tan tiled front.
