Yardsale & Co. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose thrift and craft sales support North Tahoe residents with housing needs. Its longer-term goal is to buy, restore and provide housing for the local workforce. Since opening in December 2023, it has given funds, home items and free furniture to the community and works alongside the Sierra Community House. The shop sits on the upper floor of a wood-sided building, with its name in black letters on a white sign.
Stock includes home goods, small furniture, artwork, lamps, mirrors, clothing, games and garden pots, mixed with pieces from local makers. All inventory is donated. Donations are taken during store hours six days a week, Sundays included, with a limit of two bags or boxes. Free items go up on an in-store Community Board.
