Donations at Lighthouse Alliance Thrift Shop come in on Tuesday mornings at a drive-up drop-off, where donors stay in their cars while volunteers unload. Drop-offs on Friday and Saturday afternoons are by appointment. Items must be pre-sorted and in good condition, with no missing pieces, rust, mildew, stains or tears, and the shop accepts donations until its storage space is full. No donations are taken while the store is open for shopping.
The shop is part of Lighthouse Alliance, a church in Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, and volunteers run it. The church is always looking for more volunteers. The store is open for shopping four days a week, and Tuesdays are kept for donations. A yellow sign with purple lettering hangs above a stone-faced entrance in the tan building.
