Elkridge, Maryland, is home to the Mustard Seed Thrift Shop, a ministry of Grace Episcopal Church. The church runs the shop as an act of generosity and community, and every purchase supports its local outreach. That outreach sits within a wider set of church ministries that includes pastoral care and work with community organizations.
The shop sells used clothing and household items. White shelving along one wall holds rows of glassware, dishes and serving pieces, and a pink-walled corner is hung with framed pictures and clocks. The shop opens only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Besides the thrift shop, Grace Episcopal Church runs an early learning center licensed by the State of Maryland and offers Sunday school, Bible study and an adult choir.
