Part consignment shop and part group shop, Yankee Resalers rents spaces to individual resalers and takes larger pieces on consignment. The arrangement has kept the Ossipee shop stocked since it opened in August 2013. The merchandise is mostly lightly used and covers furniture, antiques and collectibles alongside jewelry, books, tools and everyday household goods. It is the kind of mix that comes out of a house, attic, basement, garage, barn or storage unit.
Many smaller items are also sold online, and most of them can be shipped. The owners have worked in the resale and antiques trade for decades, starting out at an auction house. The shop is open six days a week, Sundays included. Out front, a lime-green covered porch with yellow posts holds a row of chairs set out for sale.
