The Society of St. Vincent de Paul runs this Laconia thrift store as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Its mission is feeding, clothing, housing and healing local individuals and families who have nowhere else to turn for help. Alongside the store, the Society runs a food pantry, Thanksgiving baskets and a financial assistance team that meets with residents to look at their budgets and find where help is needed.
Rows of upholstered sofas, armchairs and wooden chairs fill the sales floor, along with lamps, cabinets and shelves of housewares. Monetary donations support the Society's programs, and volunteers get to serve neighbors in need with compassion. The store opens on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
