Secondhand clothing for men and women fills the racks at Uptown Cheapskate Broadway, a Boise outpost of the Uptown Cheapskate resale franchise. The store specializes in current name-brand styles, from activewear, dresses and graphic tees to jackets, jeans, shoes and purses.
Instead of taking donations, the store buys clothing outright and pays cash on the spot or store credit for accepted pieces. Sellers bring clean, in-style items and a government-issued ID, with no appointment needed, and buyers review everything while the seller browses, up until an hour before closing. Members of the Insider loyalty program earn rewards on purchases. The shop is open into the evening six days a week and closed Sundays, in a gray stucco building with a black-and-white sign and a wood-slatted entryway.
