Building supplies sit alongside furniture, appliances and home decor at this nonprofit thrift store in Boise, run as a fundraiser for Treasure Valley Habitat for Humanity. When possible, donated building materials go toward building and preserving Habitat homes, and the rest is sold to the public. The shop runs largely on volunteer help and is open six days a week, closed Sundays.
Donations are dropped off at the store, and residential pickups are handled through partner ReSupply. Accepted items range from doors, windows, cabinets and flooring to plumbing fixtures, tools, lawn and garden supplies and working appliances, while clothing, books and dishwashers are turned away. The store's dark slatted front carries a bright green window band reading reduce, reuse, recycle, donate, volunteer and shop.
