Savers in Boise takes donations for The Arc Idaho at its Community Donation Center and pays the nonprofit for each drop-off of clothing and household goods. The store belongs to a for-profit company, so donations help the charity but purchases do not. Accepted items include clothing and shoes, books and media, games and toys, housewares, electronics, sporting goods, small appliances and small furniture.
The sales floor has clothing for the whole family, plus dinnerware, accessories, books and housewares. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday for shoppers 55 and older, and Super Savers Club members can shop at members-only sales. A large red Savers sign runs across the top of the storefront. The store is open seven days a week, and it stays open into the evening.
