Furniture, appliances, home décor and building materials such as lumber, lighting, sinks, doors and flooring fill the Magic Valley ReStore in Twin Falls, a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center that is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. It accepts reusable and surplus materials, appliances must be clean and in full working order, and donation pickups run on Thursday mornings.
Habitat for Humanity of the Magic Valley runs the store, and its sales raise money for affordable homes built with partner families across the seven counties of the Magic Valley. On the sales floor stands a small shingled house front topped with a "What will you build?" sign. The ReStore has kept more than nine million pounds of material out of the local landfill.
