In Coatesville, Habitat for Humanity of Chester County runs the ReStore Caln, a home goods thrift store open to the public four days a week. Its floor holds furniture, decor, appliances and kitchenware, along with tools, hardware, building materials, lighting and bathroom fixtures for home repairs and improvements. All proceeds go toward building Habitat homes in the local community.
The store takes donations of both new and used items, and most donations are tax-deductible. Donors can also schedule a pickup, and the store has been recognized by US News & World Report for furniture removal. Shoppers can join a loyalty program at checkout to earn rewards. A wide green-and-white Habitat for Humanity ReStore sign runs across the store's red-brick front.
