Fresh inventory arrives every week at DC Bargains, a secondhand shop in Elkton, Maryland. The stock turns over all the time, and the store opens its doors four days a week, Sundays included, so weekend shoppers can stop in on the last day of the week as well as on Saturday.
The shop sells antiques, knives, CDs and jewelry, and it also carries a line of NASCAR merchandise for racing fans. That mix of goods is painted on a big green oval sign on the older, two-story wing of the building. Next to that wing is a long white storefront with a covered porch, where tables of pots, planters and housewares sit out front under a cream banner with the store's name.
