New Life Thrift Shop in Lewes is a major source of funding for the Lewes Rehoboth Association of Congregations. This 501(c)(3) group of congregations gives all of its proceeds back to the community and has served the area for more than 20 years. Its Christian ministry work also includes work projects and Christmas Cookies for Prisoners. Furniture often stands in rows outside the shop's green-and-cream metal building.
Donations can be dropped off six days a week. Pickups of furniture and other large items are scheduled every Tuesday, as long as everything is on the first floor, but smaller goods and clothing must be dropped off. The shop doesn't take broken or stained furniture, mattresses, cribs, car seats, toys, computers or very heavy pieces. It is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.
