This Boston thrift store carries clothing for the whole family, plus dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. It is run by Savers, a for-profit thrift company operated by TVI, Inc., so purchases themselves don't benefit a charity. The store is open seven days a week, with evening hours. Large red Savers lettering runs across its tan facade above a brick base.
Donations are what help a cause here. The on-site donation center takes clothing and shoes, bed and bath goods, books and media, games and toys, housewares, electronics, exercise and sporting goods, small appliances and small furniture. Savers pays Epilepsy Foundation New England for the donated goods. Donors get a discount on their next purchase, and Super Savers Club members can shop members-only sales. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday, with savings for shoppers 55 and older.
