In Richmond, Rhode Island, Jules Antiques and General Store is a family-owned and operated business housed in a rustic farm building of about 8,000 square feet. More than 70 dealers fill it with antiques, collectibles, and vintage and retro pieces from many decades. Dealers who want to set up shop are welcome, and the store offers benefits and incentives to dealers who sell there and to those who come to browse.
The general store side is modeled on an old-time mercantile. It carries locally made foods and goods, handcrafted soaps, McCalls candles, gifts, and country and farmhouse decor for every season. Shoppers can also pick up an old-fashioned soda or fill a bag with penny candy. The store holds events through the year, and its doors are open seven days a week.
