A free Community Closet sits at the heart of the Thriftique at Knox Pride in Knoxville, Tennessee. Anyone in need can take clothing at no cost, and shoppers who can afford to pay help fund the services of Knox Pride, the nonprofit that runs the shop and its community and resource center. The racks cover casual clothes, swimwear and business attire. Gift certificates are sold at the Knox Pride Center.
Donations come in every Wednesday or by appointment. The shop accepts only in-season items and personal care items, and it does not take household goods. It is open four days a week and closes on major holidays. The storefront is dark gray painted brick under a tan metal awning, with a fern hanging beside the door.
