Sales at CityThrift St. Vincent de Paul support the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Dayton, a faith-based nonprofit that provides emergency shelter, supportive housing, food, clothing and veterans' support across Greater Dayton. The shelves hold donated clothing for adults and children, home and office furniture, small appliances, household goods, tools, toys, jewelry, purses, books and media. Large blue letters spell out the St. Vincent de Paul name across the long gray block front of the building.
The society's Central Donation Drive Thru is at the store, where clean, working goods can be dropped off. Large appliances are accepted at drop-off, and furniture pickups are handled by New Life Furniture Bank, a partner organization. CityThrift is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
