Every dollar from sales at this Raleigh shop goes to local and global mission outreach and helps individuals in the community. Donations come in daily from members of Crossroads Fellowship church and from the wider community. Items that aren't good enough for the sales floor are passed along to others or repurposed. The racks and shelves hold clothing for women, men and children, plus furniture, toys, home decor, household goods, books and vinyl records.
A sales calendar sets out the store's current discounts, and it is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. A bright blue "Thrift Store" sign runs across the awning over the entrance of its beige building. Since Missions Thrift Store began selling secondhand goods in 2011, it has given more than $1 million to nonprofits.
