Secondhand goods of nearly every kind fill Bargain Thrift Center in Germantown, from modern clothing and housewares to electronics such as old-school radios and VHS players. A curated vintage section carries pieces like 1980s and '90s sweaters and 1950s lamps, and the stock comes from a wide base of donors. Every Wednesday is Senior Day for customers 65 and older, and the doors open seven days a week.
The store also runs online shops and a wholesaling operation, and each year it keeps hundreds of thousands of pounds of goods out of landfills.
