Net proceeds from every sale at Fetch Thrift Shop go to animal rescues and animal causes in and around Frederick, Maryland, including groups that support spay and neuter work. The shop is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and it also houses the Cozy Cat Den, a room where visitors can book time to play and bond with resident cats.
The racks and shelves hold upscale resale and vintage merchandise, from clothing, jewelry and lamps to dishes, books, toys and board games. Donors drop off items in great condition, with like items grouped together and soft goods such as clothes and linens packed in bags. The shop is open six days a week, Sundays included, with evening hours on at least one day. A teal neon sign glows in the front window of its red brick building.
