In Atlanta, the nonprofit Lost-n-Found Youth runs this thrift store as part of its work to end homelessness among LGBTQ+ young people. Money from every sale goes to the organization's street outreach, its youth center and its transitional housing program for homeless LGBTQ+ youth ages 18 to 25. The store also gives the young people the organization serves a place to build job readiness skills.
The Lost-n-Found Youth Thrift Store opens its doors seven days a week, and it has its own donation center for dropping off goods. The building has a rough stone front under a gray metal awning, with a long white sign naming both the thrift store and the donation center. Lost-n-Found Youth is a registered 501(c)(3) in Georgia, so donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.
