Up a flight of stairs on the second floor of the Humane Society for Greater Savannah's own building, this Savannah shop puts every sale toward the pets in the organization's care. Its shelves hold trinkets, gifts and toys for pets. A bold mural of dogs and cats covers the front of the building, set against swirling bands of red, blue and orange above a field of bright green.
The shop takes donations of clothing, shoes, appliances, housewares, furniture, books, toys, electronics and jewelry in good condition, and it also accepts larger items such as automobiles and trailers. Drop-off is in the parking lot behind the Humane Society, pick-up can be arranged for furniture and other large pieces, and all donations are tax deductible. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
