Every sale at the Mesa White Dove Thrift Shoppe supports Hospice of the Valley. The proceeds pay for specialized patient-care programs and help lower the cost of charity care for patients and their families. New items come in every day. The stock ranges from designer purses, shoes and jewelry to vintage glassware, toy cars, china, figurines and furniture such as armchairs.
Volunteers sort and sell the donated goods. Donors can drop items off or schedule a pickup for furniture and other large pieces. Every Saturday, teachers, first responders, students and military personnel get a discount. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Above its entrance, big blue letters spell out its name next to a white dove emblem, and the front is framed by stone pillars.
