Every purchase and every donation at ReTails Thrift Store supports pets in the community, because the shop is owned and operated by the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. The Vancouver, Washington, store sells clothing, home goods, books, furniture and vintage items. Donated goods find new homes, and the money they bring in benefits animals in need. Volunteers also lend a hand on behalf of the humane society.
The doors open seven days a week, with evening hours on at least one day. Shoppers who join the ReTails Rewards program at the register earn cash back on their purchases and get members-only updates and invitations to special store events. During the holiday season, a separate Holiday Store offers decor, ornaments, home goods and vintage pieces. Out front, a red-lettered ReTails sign with its shop and donate squares sits beneath a peaked, copper-toned roofline.
