Clothing for the whole family fills this Midvale, Utah thrift store, along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Savers, a for-profit reuse company, runs it, so purchases themselves do not go to charity. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday, with a discount for shoppers 55 and older, and Super Savers Club members get their own sales. A big red Savers sign runs across the front beneath a blue metal roofline. The doors open seven days a week and stay open into the evening.
The store's donation center takes clothing and shoes, housewares, electronics, books, toys, sporting goods and small furniture. People who drop off clothing and household items get a discount on their next purchase. Savers pays a nonprofit partner for the donated goods, and at this store that partner is Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah.
