Used clothing for all ages, furniture, household goods, small appliances and toys make up the stock at Leola Thrift Shoppe. Life Counseling Ministries runs the shop. It is a nonprofit Christian ministry founded in 1987, and all proceeds go toward its work helping people through difficult times. A committee oversees the store, and volunteers sort, price and restock the merchandise and work in sales.
Donations can be dropped off whenever the store is open, and after-hours drop-offs can be arranged with the store. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Its tan-sided building has a deep red metal roof, and a red banner under the shop's name says the sales benefit Life Counseling Ministries.
