Sales at the Nearly New Shop in Springfield are cash only, and all sales are final. The shop opens Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and sells clothing, furniture and home goods. Donations are accepted during shop hours. These include clothing, accessories, toys, books and small appliances in good condition, but large appliances and electronic equipment cannot be taken. Donated items should arrive clean, with clothes washed and folded neatly into boxes or bags and household goods washed and dusted.
The shop describes itself as a consignment and thrift shop, but it does not take consignment items. Hand-lettered signs mark sections such as shoes and purses, under a stenciled scroll border that runs along the upper walls. There is no restroom.
