Savers in Woodbury pays Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota for the clothing and household goods dropped off at its Community Donation Center, which helps fund the group's work for veterans and their families. A for-profit company runs the store, so purchases don't benefit the nonprofit, but donations do. It sells family clothing, dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics.
Accepted donations also include bags, bed and bath goods, sporting goods, toys, small appliances and small furniture, and donors get a discount on their next purchase. Seniors 55 and older save on Tuesdays, Mondays bring discounts on clothing and bed and bath, and Super Savers Club members get Thrift Thursdays. Red lettering crowns a curved tan tower above the entrance. The doors open seven days a week, into the evening.
