Unique in New Hope is a for-profit thrift store run by TVI, Inc., part of the Savers family of stores. Its racks and shelves carry clothing for the whole family along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Shopping here does not support a charity, but donating does. Savers pays Disabled American Veterans of Minnesota for goods dropped off at the store's Community Donation Center.
That center takes clothing and shoes, bed and bath items, books and media, games and toys, small appliances, small furniture, sporting goods, backpacks and purses. Tuesdays are Senior Tuesday for shoppers 55 and older, and Super Savers Club members get Thrift Thursdays. Red "Unique Thrift" letters sit next to a green "Donation Center" sign above a long dark awning. The doors open seven days a week and stay open into the evening.
