Amberly's Place, Yuma's family advocacy center, runs this thrift shoppe in Yuma, Arizona. Volunteers help sort donated items, organize the stock and staff the store, which is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Out front, a white sign spells the name in multicolored letters beneath a red tile roof. Gifts of money for the center can also be made in person at the shop.
The shoppe takes donations of used goods during set drop-off hours. Pickups and drop-offs can also be booked online. Old cell phones are welcome too, including ones that no longer work, and they are recycled to raise money for victim support. The center's trained staff help people facing child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and elder abuse.
