Donations dropped off at this Overland Park thrift store benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City, which Savers pays for the goods. The store is run by a for-profit company, so purchases themselves do not support a nonprofit. Accepted donations range from clothing, shoes and purses to electronics, books, toys, housewares, small appliances and small furniture.
Shelves hold clothing for the whole family alongside dinnerware and accessories. Donors earn a discount on their next purchase, Tuesdays bring a senior discount for shoppers 55 and older, and Super Savers Club members collect rewards points and get members-only sales. Doors open seven days a week, with evening hours, under bold red lettering on a cream arched facade.
