Free pickup and delivery are offered at Sweet Charity Resale, both for donated goods and for purchases. The shelves and racks hold clothing, accessories, shoes, bedding, jewelry, glassware, household items, toys, games, bikes, furniture, small electronics and seasonal decorations, along with collectibles and antiques. Used mattresses and box springs can't be donated; only new, plastic-sealed ones straight from the manufacturer are accepted. The shop is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
Wayside Cross Ministries, a Christian homeless shelter and addiction recovery ministry, runs this Aurora store, and all of its sales revenue goes to the ministry. The store is also a job training site where residents in recovery learn service and retail skills alongside volunteers and life-coach mentors. Its name runs across the front in bright blue script with a small pink heart, and clothing racks and bikes stand out on the walkway.
