Donations of clothing and household goods left at this Carol Stream thrift store support Friends of the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago, and Savers pays the nonprofit for what comes in. Savers itself is a for-profit company, so donating helps the charity but shopping does not. The donation center takes clothing and shoes, backpacks and purses, bed and bath items, books and media, games and toys, housewares, electronics, exercise and sporting goods, small appliances and small furniture.
The sales floor carries clothing for the whole family along with dinnerware, accessories, books, housewares and electronics. Every Tuesday is Senior Tuesday for shoppers 55 and older. Super Savers Club members get Member Mondays and members-only sales. The store opens seven days a week, stays open into the evening, and sits beneath a glowing orange sign with pink "Thrift Superstore" lettering.
