Indian Harbour Beach has had the Lamb Shoppe since October 1999. The thrift shop raises money to run The Haven for Children, Inc., and The Haven Guild staffs it entirely with volunteers. In 2003, donations outgrew the first space, so the shop moved up the road to its current building. It is open six days a week and closed on Sundays.
The shop sells clothing, furniture and home goods, along with toys, bicycles, jewelry, collectibles, antiques, lamps, linens, artwork and costumes. Individuals and businesses donate every item for sale, and donors can deduct their gifts from their taxes. Donations must be clean, complete and in working order, and they should not be left on the porch when the shop is closed. The yellow building has a white-railed front porch under a green sign.
