A charity resale shop in Fayetteville, Peace at Home Thrift Store raises money for Peace at Home Family Shelter, a nonprofit that provides shelter, legal help and counseling to adults and children leaving domestic violence in Northwest Arkansas. Shelter clients and their families also get vouchers to shop here, choosing their own clothing, furniture and other essentials. A white sign with bold black lettering hangs over the entrance of its tan storefront.
Donations are tax-deductible and are accepted Wednesday through Saturday, while the store itself is open five days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. Wanted items include clothing for women, men and children, furniture, household goods, clean linens, accent pieces, books, working small appliances and holiday decor. Items from the shelter's needs list are accepted too.
