Goodwill's Peters Creek outlet in Winston-Salem has a retail store, an attended donation drop-off and a career center all in one place. It's run by Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, a local nonprofit serving the community since 1926. Money from sales pays for free job training, career counseling and youth services. Its doors are open seven days a week, and on most days it stays open into the evening.
Donations are tax-deductible. Clothing, shoes, furniture, books, housewares, linens, jewelry, working electronics and computers in any condition are all welcome. Large appliances, mattresses, paint, CRT televisions and recalled children's items are not accepted. A white tower with GOODWILL in blue letters stands over the glass doors to the career center.
