Converting Hearts Ministries, a Christian nonprofit founded in 2007, runs this thrift store in Creedmoor, North Carolina. The ministry runs a live-in program that helps men recover from addiction through faith in Christ, and it has served hundreds of men from across the state. It recently moved its home base to Creedmoor after twelve years on a farm property. The organization is a registered 501(c)(3) governed by a board of directors and relies entirely on gifts from the community.
Along with money, the ministry accepts donated food, paper products, bedding, tools and vehicles, and volunteers serve meals and mentor the men. The shop is open on weekdays and closed on weekends. Its blue building has a large mural on the side showing figures in silhouette holding hands beneath a line from Psalm 19.
