The Presbyterian Thrift Shop has operated since 1950 as a retail ministry of First Presbyterian Church of Plymouth. Volunteers run it entirely, sorting, displaying and selling every piece of merchandise. Proceeds go to the church to support local, national and international missions.
The stock covers in-season clothing, shoes, purses, art, books, housewares, knickknacks, furniture, holiday decor and tools. Donations come from church members, friends and several community consignment shops. The Plymouth, Michigan shop opens four days a week, with Wednesday evening hours from March through December. A dark green sign with gold lettering hangs inside its wood-framed front window.
