In Jackson, Michigan, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Jackson runs this thrift store. The nonprofit Christian organization has served economically disadvantaged people for more than 50 years. Proceeds from the store go to its work with people in need, which includes home visits, food and shelter assistance, employment services and outreach programs. Through its stores it also offers a free clothing program and a free household and linen startup kit program.
The store accepts high-quality new and used items for resale, and non-perishable food can be dropped off too. A truck picks up large donations on weekdays, and the store also handles mattresses and furniture. It is open six days a week, closed on Sundays, and stays open into the evening on at least one day.
