Sales and donations at Goodwill Acme help pay for food security and housing work across Northern Michigan, including Food Rescue, Street Outreach, the Goodwill Inn and Supportive Housing. The Williamsburg shop is run by Goodwill Northern Michigan, a community-owned nonprofit and independent member of Goodwill Industries International.
The building is both a thrift store and a donation center, and home goods are part of what it sells. Donors drive up to drop off items under a covered canopy with a blue metal roof, next to a stone storefront trimmed in the same blue. The store is open seven days a week and stays open into the evening on most days.
