In South Buffalo, Habitat for Humanity Buffalo owns and runs this home improvement thrift store, and its sales support the group's work building homes for families in need. New stock comes in every day, including furniture, appliances, home decor, building materials, doors, windows, flooring and kitchen cabinets. Blue oval signs with green lettering hang from chains above the sales floor and mark sections such as furniture, doors and windows.
Donors are asked to drop items off at the store when possible. It takes cabinets, countertops, lighting, plumbing fixtures, tools, garden goods, antiques and art. Appliances must be ten years old or newer, and used mattresses, sofa beds and entertainment centers are not accepted. A paid pickup service run with ReSupply collects donations from any floor of a home. The store is open five days a week.
