Goodwill Central Coast in Capitola stocks name-brand purses and clothing, and a staff of 38 employees keeps the store running. The location is also a donation center, so goods can be dropped off at the same building where shoppers browse. Its doors open seven days a week and stay open into the evening.
Sales at this store fund job training programs run by Goodwill Central Coast, an organization that helps people with employment needs succeed through work. Every purchase also puts reusable goods back into circulation and keeps them out of landfills, which conserves natural resources. Across the front windows, a large blue Goodwill logo sits next to a wide graphic bearing the line "We Put People To Work."
