Covina Valley Community Support, an all-volunteer nonprofit, runs this Covina thrift shop as a fundraiser, along with events such as its annual Christmas Tree Brunch. The shelves hold housewares, books, jewelry, clothing, linens and bedding, plants, home decor, children's toys and seasonal goods. The shop is open five days a week and closes on holidays.
Donations are tax deductible, and donors get a receipt. They are taken only during business hours at the receiving door behind the shop, where a doorbell brings someone out to help. The shop does not take broken household items, damaged clothing, large furniture, mattresses, electronics, bed pillows, encyclopedias or baby furniture, and it has no pickup service. Sales fund the group's charity programs, including Hug in a Box, Project Student Support and a Learning Center.
