Volunteers with Assistance League of Orange, a nonprofit serving the Orange community since 1941, manage and staff Now and Again Thrift Shop, and every purchase helps fund the chapter's work locally. The racks hold new and secondhand clothing along with name-brand fashions, jewelry and antiques, and special sales run every week. The shop is open five days a week.
Donations of clothing and household items are tax-deductible, and donors get a receipt. To drop items off, donors ring the bell at the black double gates behind the shop rather than leaving anything by the doors. Electronics, knives, baby gear and large area rugs are not accepted. The shop occupies a restored historic building on the Plaza in Old Towne Orange, its tall arched windows topped by a hand-painted sign decorated with oranges.
