In Los Angeles, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles runs this ReStore as a nonprofit home improvement store and donation center. All proceeds from its sales support the organization's mission of providing decent housing. The store sells donated building materials, both new and used, along with furniture, appliances, lumber, hardware, and vintage and unique pieces. Its white facade carries the Habitat ReStore name in bold blue and green lettering.
Donating goods here clears clutter and helps fund that work. The store takes drop-offs, and donors can also schedule a pickup. A rewards program sends members text messages with surprise coupons and news of current sales. The doors are open seven days a week, and volunteer opportunities are offered at the store as well.
