Families staying in Tri-Valley Haven's shelters get vouchers to shop at this Livermore thrift store for free, for themselves and for their children. Every dollar the store makes goes to Tri-Valley Haven, a nonprofit that serves people affected by domestic violence and sexual assault. Its programs also include a food pantry and services for people who are homeless. The store is open seven days a week.
The shelves hold clothing and accessories, jewelry, home décor, kitchenware, books, music, movies, complete puzzles, holiday decorations and electronics. Wooden bookcases and tall hutches line the sales floor, and a red patterned rug covers the center. Donations come in on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The store does not take baby products, bicycles, televisions, large appliances, textbooks or office equipment.
