Run by the American Cancer Society, the Los Altos Discovery Shop sells donated merchandise to help fund the fight against cancer, and all proceeds go to the Society. The organization has owned and operated its Discovery Shops for 55 years. The stock covers clothing, accessories, jewelry, furniture, artwork, antiques, collectibles and other household goods. Donations of clothing, shoes, jewelry, housewares and furniture are tax-deductible. A dark navy awning with white lettering runs above the entrance, and a brick planter sits along the front.
The shop is open seven days a week. On Tuesdays, seniors 55 and older get a discount, and military members with ID get a discount every day. All sales are final, with no returns or exchanges.
