Clothing for men and women, furniture and household goods fill this Rancho Mirage thrift store, which opened in 1973 and has grown to nearly 15,000 square feet. Art, jewelry, collectibles and designer apparel and accessories round out the stock. Dining furniture and glass curio cabinets fill the front floor, and a doorway marked "Clothing" leads back to the racks. The store is open four days a week from Labor Day through Memorial Day.
Clothing and household goods can be dropped off at the Blue Donor Door at the back of the building. Large furniture in good condition is picked up for free, and all donations are tax-deductible. The Eisenhower Health Dolores Hope Auxiliary runs the store, and every dollar goes to Eisenhower Health's programs, medical equipment, scholarships and building projects. The shop brings in more than 75 percent of the Auxiliary's yearly fundraising.
