Sales at Mother Lode Christian Thrift help fund Mother Lode Christian School, a Christian school that serves families from preschool through eighth grade. The shop and the school's Annual Winter Jubilee, a fundraiser held the last week of February, both raise money for the school. The store is open Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays.
This location does not accept donations. Everything sold through the school's thrift stores must be in resalable condition, and state law restricts some kinds of items. Racks of clothing fill the sales floor, with wooden furniture set out among them. Of the school's thrift locations, this Sonora shop is the one that carries the larger items and collectibles.
